This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal data we (Wimbledon Film Club, hereafter WFC) may collect about you when you interact with us. It also explains how we’ll store and handle that data and keep it safe.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you (your name and email address) when you contact us, become a member, book tickets or subscribe to our mailing list. We will store your personal data securely and only keep it as long as it is necessary for legitimate WFC purposes and you have given your consent. If members have not renewed their membership within six months of it lapsing, we will explicitly ask them if they wish to remain on our mailing list or fully unsubscribe. All of our emails carry a standard unsubcribe link that allows you to remove yourself from our mailing list without further intervention
How will we use the information about you?
We collect information about you to process your membership or booking, and to send you emails about our activities if you are a member or have subscribed to our mailing list. We will not share your information for marketing purposes with organisations outside WFC. If you have signed up to our mailing list but wish to unsubscribe or update your preferences you can do this by clicking the links at the bottom of any email sent by us via MailChimp. Alternatively, you can contact us at info@wimbledonfilmclub.com and we will unsubscribe you.
Will anyone else have access to my information?
We will not share your personal information with organisations outside of WFC, except to help prevent fraud or if required to do so by law. In order to support important WFC functions, WFC uses other recognised websites and their services such as MailChimp for our mailing list and Eventbrite for ticket booking. Mailchimp and Eventbrite may have access and use information you provide to provide our services. To find out more about this you can read their privacy policies on their websites (linked above).
