Colleen and Elsie are next-door neighbours. 80-year-old Elsie depends on cursory, slapdash visits from an overstretched home carer but doesn’t make a fuss. Seeing the lack of care Elsie is receiving from so-called professionals, Colleen takes it upon herself to care for her, a role that brings meaning and purpose to her life. Over time, a friendship grows until the arrival of Elsie’s resentful, guilt-ridden son stirs up tensions.
