The London Spanish Film Festival kicks off this year with a screening of Alberto Rodriguez’s Anatomia de un Instante (“The Anatomy of a Moment”) on Wednesday, the 16th of September, which will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker.

Based on Javier Cercas’s acclaimed book, the film  recounts the dramatic events of the failed 1981 coup attempt that nearly brought an end to Spain’s fledgling democracy. Originally broadcast as a series on Spanish TV, this is a 175 minute theatrical release.
