Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events

March 24, 20208:30pm

Lockdown is suddenly upon us, so the WFC is initiating a home cinema season, with viewings proposed on Tuesday evenings, followed by discussions on the WFC Facebook page. We are kicking off with a film sure to raise spirits. Three children are orphaned when their house burns down under mysterious circumstances, with their parents in it. They are left in the custody of a distant relative, Count Olaf aka Jim Carrey… Whatever Jerry Seinfeld may say, there is such a thing as ‘fun for the whole family’!

” highly entertaining, wickedly funny, and alluring” Derek Adams , Time Out

“…  a film that realizes the best children’s entertainment doesn’t hide from the bleaker side of life, but plunges into the void and respects kids enough to assume they can handle it.” Nathan Rabin, AV Club
